SOMERSET, KY – Nine CenterNET videoconferencing sites were recently utilized by Operation UNITE (Unlawful, Narcotics, Investigation, Treatment, & Education) for training on community coalitions. The training, a part of the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, (CADCA) National Coalition Academy, focuses on various topics necessary to build, sustain and evaluate community coalitions. CenterNET sites from Breathitt, Pike, Hazard, Clay, Pulaski, and McCreary counties as well as Paintsville and London sites participated in the first training broadcast with a connection to Pennsylvania. The session entitled “Conducting a Needs and Resource Assessment” taught participants how to work through a needs and resource assessment and how the process can give direction to their coalition efforts to effect change in their area.
